The ECIIA Public Sector Committee is partnering with EUROSAI on a joint project to assess the use of Risk Management and Assurance Mapping across the European public sector.
The European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing and the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions are working together to promote good governance, accountability and audit across the European Public Sector.
As part of this joint initiative, ECIIA and EUROSAI are launching a survey to better understand current practices in Risk Management and Assurance Mapping, while also gathering examples of good practice from across Europe.
The survey is aimed at public sector contacts, including Ministries, Municipalities, Universities, Public Entities and other relevant organisations.
It covers topics such as risk management frameworks, risk appetite, risk mapping, assurance mapping, internal control practices and cooperation between audit, risk and control actors.
The results will help support a wider reflection on the role and importance of Internal Audit in the European public sector and will be shared together with the identified best practices.
The survey takes around 12 minutes to complete.
Responses are requested by 28 May 2026.
