If you are a proactive, reliable, detail-oriented, thoughtful, organised and customer-oriented person, comfortable in the EU bubble environment, this position is for you!

The successful candidate will manage the communication of our association, edit minutes, design papers, organise webinars and events, and will provide overall support to the Secretary-General. She/he will report directly to the latter and be part of a very small and dynamic team. This is a junior position targeting candidates with some working experience in the sector who want to develop their careers in a vibrant European community.

Key Responsibilities

The Communication and events Officer will:

  • Develop and execute communication plans to support ECIIA’s objectives, including:
    -website management (content and regular updates)
    -Draft newsletters
    -Design promotional material for our social media
    -Implement adjustments to the communication strategy
    -Plan media/communications campaigns
    -Draft press releases
    -Manage contact with external providers (designers, audiovisual suppliers,…)
    -Draft internal communication materials (presentations, minutes, working documents, banners,…)
  • Events management:
    – Manage various events, including conferences/forums and webinars (virtual, on-site and hybrid), ensuring effective communication before, during, and after the events
    -Manage logistics and branding
    -Draft minutes and reports

The Communication and Events officer will also support the Secretary-General on other tasks, such as documentation management and the development of surveys for our community.

Requirements/Skills
  • Master’s degree or equivalent (ideally in marketing, communications or similar)
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a similar position exposed to a European multi-cultural context
  • Digitally savvy, with knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn)
  • Proficient in creating various types of content, including articles, social media posts, videos, infographics
  • Familiarity with email marketing tools (MailChimp), audience engagement tools (Slido), and meeting organisation tools (Teams/Zoom)
  • Experience with graphic design tools (Canva)
  • Experience in web editing and knowledge of content management (WordPress)
  • Proficient user knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proven knowledge and experience in data and/or AI is a big plus
  • Proven working experience in communications and project, event or/and community management activities
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills
  • Well-organised and able to meet deadlines
  • The candidate must have an excellent written and oral command of English. Other languages are a plus
