ECIIA organised The ESG Day, a hybrid event on the 1st of December 2023.
At this event, we took a look at the emerging new European Regulations regarding ESG requirements“Environment, Social and Governance”. It will include plenary sessions on the new business model, and the new risks and opportunities with particular emphasis on the new European Directives and Standards (European Sustainability Reporting Standards).
We discussed about the role internal auditors must play, the support to the governing bodies, and the collaboration internally and with the external auditors. The new Global Internal Audit Standards were also presented. The aim was to raise awareness of the new regulatory framework, the new business model and encourage the sharing of best practices.
