Organized by EY, in collaboration with ecoDa, Czech Institute of Directors, ACCA, Business Europe and European Issuers, the European Corporate Governance Conference 2022 – under the auspices of Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU – brought together decision-makers, academics and key business, as well as civil society, experts from EU and beyond.
At this year’s conference, the speakers exchanged views on how to address sustainability in corporate governance, including the proposed Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. They also discussed remuneration policy in connection with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) targets, while focusing on European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) upcoming European Sustainability Reporting Standards.
Massimiliano Turconi, ECIIA Vice-President, was part of the panel about the OECD guidance and explained the need to include the role of internal auditors in strong corporate governance.
