The Commission has published an interim study prepared by BlackRock on the development of tools and mechanisms for the integration of ESG factors into the EU banking prudential framework and into banks’ business strategies and investment policies. In line with the tender specifications, the interim study focuses primarily on the stocktake exercise of current practices by banks and supervisors. The final study should be submitted to the Commission no later than 1 April 2021.
