The ECIIA Public Sector Committee hosted an hour-long webinar, entitled “The Impact of COVID-19 for internal auditors in the Public Sector”, on the 13th May 2020.
Covid-19 is impacting the internal auditors, in the same way as it has done to almost every aspect of society. It is putting unprecedented strain on the organisation of the audit departments, the audit process and the planning.
The ECIIA Public Sector Committee members shared the current challenges they face. The audience members had the chance to raise questions and give their thoughts on the discussions.
We also took the opportunity to give an update on the project with EUROSAI, regarding non-financial reporting in the public sector, as well as the next webinar on this project.
