The European Commission has just published a report about the implementation of GDPR by country.
The main conclusions are:
- Businesses are developing a compliance culture
- The new system strengthening the enforcement of the data protection rules is falling into place
- Member States have set up the necessary legal framework
The DG Justice also confirmed that they will issue a final evaluation report on GDPR in order to assess the review of the current Directive by May 2020.
