Chief Executive Officer, Governis
Claude B. Cargou is currently CEO of Governis a newly created consulting firm focused on audit of IT Governance. Prior to this position he was from 2002 to end of end of 2007 Group Chief Audit Executive of AXA a world leader in financial services.
From 1990 to 2002 Claude was EVP in charge of IT and e-business in AXA.
Claude worked also in Information Technology for major French banks such as Credit du Nord and BNP. He also worked for IT vendors and consulting firms in France and in the USA.
In 1995 he was elected Chairman of the French CIO’s association. In 2006 he became Chairman of IFACI the French association of Internal Auditors for two years. He is now the President of the European Confederation of the Institutes of Internal Auditing (ECIIA).
Claude is a member of several Boards and Chairman of Audit Committees. He was awarded the French Legion of Honor.

Maria Zacharczu-Kakietek is the initiator and driving force behind the joint ECIIA/Eurosai task force which mandate is to "create a cooperation process that will enable both organisations" mutual benefiting from their works and promote knowledge sharing.
Maria Zacharczuk-Kakietek is currently the CAE at the State Audit Office in Poland. She obtained her PhD at the Polish Academy of Science. From 1992 to 1995 she served as a high level government officer in the Ministry of Health, and next continued her studies at the University of Wisconsin -La Crosse, in the United States. In 1998 Maria started working for the State Audit Office in Poland, and, after the new public finance law was passed in 2002, which introduced internal audit to the SAO, she took on the position of the CAE. In addition to her work at the SAO, she has gained qualifications and developed professional expertise in external assessment of internal audit quality.
Maria revitalized the IIA Poland, and, for 6 years, served as its president. Through her work, she was instrumental in introducing and disseminating the IIA Code of Ethics and Standards, and was one of the co-translators of the IPPF and the manuals for CIA and CGAP exams into Polish. At the international level, she has served as a member of the Public Sector Committee of the IIA Global, and as a member of the editorial board of the "Internal Auditor" monthly.
