ECIIA General Assembly Held
ECIIA General Assembly was held in Warsaw/Poland on October 16, 2010. The ECIIA former President Claude Cargou opened the meeting and welcomed the attendees representing 34 countries. He presented an overview of ECIIA activities in 2010. A new member, Montenegro participated to the ECIIA family with the approval of the delegates. The General Assembly unanimously approved the discharge of the 2009/2010 Board of Management. There were three replacements in the Management Board. Marie-Helene Laimay (France), Thijs Smit (The Netherlands) and Martin Stevens (Norway) were elected in place of Claude Cargou (France), Ali Sir Yardim (Turkey) and Tzevetan Tzvetkov (Bulgaria). Phil Tarling was approved as a new President and Carolyn Dittmeier as the Vice President. The next General Assembly was decided to take place in Madrid/Spain in 2011 with the ECIIA Conference. Phil Tarling who made closing remarks presented their plaquettes to Claude Cargou, Ali Sir Yardim and Tzvetan Tzvetkov for their contibutions to ECIIA activities during their periods of duty.
The delegates found the opportunity to relieve the fatigue of a very busy day on the dinner organised after the General Assembly.
