Norbert Wagner, Austria

Norbert Wagner graduated from the University of Economics, Vienna, Austria.

He joined the Austrian Federal Railways in 1975 and served there for 10 years in the Finance Department, then for 6 years as Deputy Head of the Controlling Department.  He joined the Internal Audit Department in 1991 and became Head of Internal Audit in January 1995. He served as CAE for 10 years.

He became a member of the Management Board of IIA Austria in January 1998 and has been President of IIA Austria from March 2000 till June 2009. He is a Member of the Global CSO (Chief Staff Officer) Group within the IIA and Chairman of the European CSO Group. 

He joined the Audit Committee of ECIIA in 2007.
